I WAS A QUALITY OF LIFE VIOLATION
Stars Rev Jen as an old lady looking for a lost dog terrorized by street vermin in NYC. The controversial ending created a scandal last fall and the movie has been banned.
I WAS A QUALITY OF LIFE VIOLATION has been banned from Anthology Film Archives and the New York Underground Film Festival. The NYUFF organizers were afraid to screen the movie during the Bush Administration's hightened terror alert on the eve of the Iraqi invasion. Osama bin Laden apparently cannot be depicted in a movie during the current wave of government induced hysteria and bogus patriotism. The banning of the movie by the administrative directors of Anthology and NYUFF is symptomatic of a diseased current of anti-Americanism that hopes to muzzle open dissent on all levels.
